President, Christian Alliance for Orphans

Jedd Medefind

Jedd Medefind serves as President of the Christian Alliance for Orphans. The Alliance unites more than 80 respected Christian organizations and a national network of churches. Together,the Alliance works to ignite and equip Christians to “defend the cause of the fatherless” through adoption, foster care and global orphan ministry.

Prior to this role, Jedd served in the White House as a Special Assistant to President George W. Bush, and leading the Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives. Previously, Jedd held a range of posts in the California State Legislature.

He also helped establish the California Community Renewal Project, which strengthens nonprofits in some of the state’s most challenged communities. He has worked, studied and served in more than thirty countries, with organizations ranging from Price-Waterhouse in Moscow to Christian Life Bangladesh.  Jedd has written many articles and two books, including Four Souls and The Revolutionary Communicator.

He and his wife Rachel live in California and have four children, Siena, Marin, Eden and Lincoln.
