Blogger & Social Media Editor, BibleDude.net & The High Calling
Dan King
Dan writes at his blog BibleDude.net, serves as the Social Media Editor for TheHighCalling.org, and occasionally contributes at churchcrunch.com and churchdrop.com.
Through his blogging he encourages honest and authentic conversation that challenges the average dude in the church to engage their culture while keeping God at the center of everything we do. At The High Calling he works to use technology as a tool for enhancing community among Christians who are united by a common vision to live out the high calling of their daily work, whether it is in the workplace, in the home, or in public ministry.
He has recently partnered with authors/activists Dillon Burroughs and Dan Darling in a project called Activist Faith, an initiative with the goal of providing Christians with the knowledge and tools to impact their world in major issues such as poverty, the environment, healthcare, religious freedom, and orphan care (and more). Dan is in the process of launching the website ActivistFaith.org, while the team blogs about the issues at Beliefnet.
After diving head-first into local outreach projects at the church and individual level, and traveling as far as Haiti, Kenya, and Uganda on missions projects, Dan has become the everyday activist that he challenges others to be.

Dan will be leading a workshop/idea session on:
Orphan Care and the Everyday Activist
Not everyone can adopt and bring children into their home, but everyone can have an impact on the orphan epidemic. In this session we will discuss ways that individuals and church groups can make an impact on the lives of orphans locally and globally, and the Biblical mandate to do so.
